NAMI Maine & Trekkers Bring a Free Training to Thomaston!

Similar to Red Cross First Aid, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches participants how to respond to, and help, those experiencing mental health challenges.
NAMI Maine, in collaboration with Trekkers, is hosting a Youth Mental Health First Aid training on Monday October 27, 2014 from 8am to 5pm in Thomaston at the Episcopal Church of St. John Baptist, 200 Main Street. This incredible training teaches participants to identify, and appropriately respond to, signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders for youth aged 12-18. The cost for this 8-hour training is $5, which includes a comprehensive training manual, lunch, customized resource guide, ongoing support from NAMI Maine and a 3-year certification from the National Council for Behavioral Health.
