Fall Cruise Ship Visits of Oceania's MS Regatta

Rockland, Maine - Oceania's vessel, the MS Regatta (684 passengers, 400 crew) will be in Rockland Harbor for three port of call visits this fall on a New York to Montreal  - “Colors, Coasts and Coves”, 12-day cruise. The arrival and departure dates are: Sunday, September 15, from 7:00 a.m -11:00 pm; Thursday, October 3, from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 pm; and Wednesday, October 9, from  7:00 a.m. - 6:00 pm.

The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce will have an information booth and welcome area set up in Harbor Park in Rockland and in Camden (at the Village Green) to greet passengers and provide information on the entire region. The passengers will be exploring the region on their own and also have access to custom shore excursion itineraries throughout the region. A detailed walking map of Downtown Rockland and Camden has been designed by Woody Emanuel of Admiral's Buttons for distribution to the passengers. A Chamber of Commerce representative will be onboard the vessel at a local visitor's/hospitality desk assisting their guests with regional information. Extensive regional information has been provided to their Concierges in preparation for their visits.

At Harbor Park in Rockland, there will be representatives from All Aboard Trolley (for narrated Historical/Informational trolley tours, and crew shuttles) and Schooner Bay Taxi (for taxi and driver services). The Public Landing will be open to vehicle traffic and pedestrian traffic. In addition, volunteers will be on Main Street to assist the passengers while they are walking and shopping in Rockland's downtown area.

The ship will be anchored in Rockland Harbor (off of Owls Head) and passengers will be tendered throughout the day to the Public Landing in Rockland Passengers will be tendered in starting at 8 am, with the last tender leaving port around 5:00 pm on October 3 & Oct. 9; and around 10:00 pm on September 15.

The Public Landing/Harbor Park will be open to vehicle (in a limited area) and pedestrian traffic. The area directly in front of Fisherman’s Memorial stage over to the Harbormaster’s building will be blocked off for the shore excursion buses, taxis and trolleys. Parking will be available directly along the sea wall area of Harbor Park over to the Harbormaster’s office. Harbor Park will be used for staging of the shore excursion buses and shuttles to both Rockland and Camden destinations.  There will be the following optional shore excursions offered to passengers: Camden by Land and Sea (5.25 hours); Camden & Mount Battie Summit (4 hours); Camden On Your Own ( 3.75 hours); Farnsworth, Camden & Mount Battie Summit (4.5 hours); Owls Head Transportation Museum & Lighthouse (2.75 hours); and the Best of Midcoast Maine & Lobsterbake (4.5 hours)
