This old-fashioned bed turning showcases 19th and 20th century quilts either made or acquired in Maine. Learn more about what makes these quilts unique to the Pine Tree State. At the Museum Gallery, 40 East Main Street, Searsport. Admission free.

Quilt Show and Tell
Maine State Quilt Study Group, presenters
Bring in any old quilts you own to share with other quilt enthusiasts! The Maine State Quilt Study Group members will provide analysis of the quilt, including the history of the patterns, fabrics and techniques used. Participants are invited to share their stories about the quilt. At the Museum Gallery, 40 East Main Street, Searsport. Admission free.

Paper Cutting: a craft of the peoples of the earth

We will explore Paper Cut crafts around the world, discuss how they reflect different cultures, how they encourage curiosity for different lands and lives. We will share and practice several forms of cutting. Needed materials supplied, but feel free to bring along favorite scissors, paper, cuts, and knowledge you may have.
Bring your lunch. At the Penobscot Marine Museum’s Stephen Phillips Memorial Library, Church Street, Searsport. $50 non-member, $45 members. Includes all supplies.
